Norway is ranked as one of the best places in the world to live.
How do we meet the new challenges for life quality?
Masserud - a major project just outside Oslo including three different typologies.

DARK is involved in different perspectives of building for life. From general plans, like the winning project "In the Loop" at Asker outside Oslo, the major three-tower-solution at Meierikvartalet in Lillestrøm and Grand-quarter in Larvik to city-central projects like Waldemars Hage and Masserud outside Oslo.

Together with Samfunnsøkonomisk Analyse we have also delivered a research-project, ordred by the government, discussing how new housingprojects deliver on urban qualities - concluding that developers must increase their focus and ambitions regarding the planning, not only for the houses and homes, but for areas and community.

DARK has also established an internal Thinktank discussing the implications of urban growth, changes in demands and expectations of coming generations - and the effect of an increasingly older, wealthier and freedomseeking population. What about shared economy, appartement-sizes, mix of generations and "after belonging". This last question was also a reason for DARKs initiativ to go into the Oslo Architectural Triennale as main partner.

DARK has the ambiton to deliver all through the valuechain - from understanding, giving advice and perspectives through planning and designing to the end-product; drawing to build.

We invite you to a workshop around these challenges.
We invite you to a workshop around these challenges.

Our thinktank "Living for Life" is, among other challenges, focused on future qualities needed responding to changes in demands due to new lifestyles - especially the changes that will come when the 68-generation are becoming the first "rockn roll & freedomseeking" elderly...

We invite you to be a part of a workshop in cooperation with Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies. The way we are organising the workshop will depend on the respons, but the participiants must cover own costs.
